Another Year

It is 2009. Another year has come and gone. I have nothing wise or deep to say.
My children are growing up. My oldest will be 18 this year, my only girl will be 13 in just a few days, my second son will be 15 and my babies will be 4 and 2. How does time fly so fast? I get the same 24 hour days as anyone else but they just seem to fly by.

I remember when I was a child sitting around talking to my friend about how FAR away the year 2000 was. Talking about how old we would be when that year came. Well now it is 2009 and the time from then to now was not as long as my young mind thought.

As I get older and realize that life changes it makes me ponder more. I do LOVE watching my children grow up. Watching them learn and mature. Watching them grow closer to God in ways I never dreamed of when I was that age. Watching my younger two learn and discover. I am so thankful to God for my toddlers it makes the olders growing up easier for me. Also watching my older 3 with my younger 2 is such a blessing.

I feel very blessed. Last year was full of challenges and blessings. I am sure this year will be the same. The challenges grow us and draw us closer to God. The blessings help us to feel God's love when it can feel so distant at times.
